Personnel entering the gas leakage area should wear protective equipment such as gas masks and respirators. The handler should stand in the windward area of the leak while handling.
When the leakage is in the high-pressure vessel, the valve should be closed as soon as possible. If the leakage continues, the container can be transferred to the designated processing area by wearing a matching cap. If leaks occur in equipment and piping systems, tighten joints and completely displace the gas in the system with inert gas before treatment.
In case of large-scale leakage, relevant departments should be notified immediately, the site should be evacuated and sealed off, and people around should be warned not to get close to the site. Handling personnel should wear relevant safety protection equipment to enter the site for flexible disposal. For inflammable and explosive gases, surrounding fire sources should be cut off and high temperature should be avoided.
If the leakage occurs in the laboratory or technology room and other narrow space, the leakage of non-dangerous gas can be investigated without affecting the work; If the leakage of dangerous gas should be eliminated as soon as possible, if it cannot be handled in a short time, it should be evacuated as soon as possible, and then the relevant personnel should conduct follow-up treatment.
If the leakage of toxic or highly toxic gas poses a serious threat to the human body and the environment, you must report it to the public security, fire control, and health authorities and take active measures to deal with it.
